erbacce stuff

Back in the pandemic, I started writing a poem a day - I began on January 1st 2021, and stopped when I got to a thousand.

I started entering competitions, and one of them was the erbacce-poetry prize, which is run by Dr. Alan Corkish (‘erbacce’ is from the Italian for weeds - it rhymes with Apache). I first entered this free competition - together with fifteen thousand other hopefuls - in 2021, and since then my stuff has been longlisted three times - in 2022 I was fortunate enough to have the five poems I’d entered into that year’s competition included in their journal.

The journal’s out of print now, so I thought I’d give you a chance to have a read of them: erbacce 2022.
