Open Mic and more

On Saturday, we took a stormy drive down to Caldas da Rainha for the Wordplay Open Mic night at Palco. We were late, so we missed Jazz’s initial offering (sorry Jazz), but there were some great recitations. I joined in for the second half and did a couple of poems - I Am Not and Sanctuary, both of which seemed to go down pretty well. Have a look at them, see what you think. I wrote I Am Not at the Stepping Stone Scribblers workshop a couple of weeks ago, and Sanctuary was something I cooked up for the Writers Club at Tomar last year.

Don’t forget - if you’re in the Alvaiázere area on Monday 2nd February, it’s the second Writers Club meeting at The Hub from 6-8pm. If you fancy writing a piece (500 words or less), the prompt is ‘Lost In Translation’. It would be great to see you there and hear your stuff!
